Bug killer
What you can (barely) see above is the upcoming Hennessey Venom GT - a Lotus Elise-based supercar with 894kW.
Yes, 894kW. Time for some medication...
US tuner Hennessey Performance reckons its newest supercar will be available with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing enough power to either a) make Volkswagen engineers cry/laugh/spontaneously vomit, or b) send you into the nearest tree. Backwards. And on fire.
Hennessey thinks this ungodly power will make the Venom GT crack the 0-100km/h dash in just 2.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 421km/h.
Just in case you're thinking, ‘Hennessey has been out window-licking again', it has fitted 15-inch carbon brakes to haul its featherweight one-tonne body to a stop.
The mad Venom GT will be fully revealed at the end of the month, and is being planned for a debut at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Bugatti Veyron engineers are reportedly not bothered.

It's evocative of the Lotus Elise GT1, but I don't like the stretched-Elise look.
