We are not going to make any jokes about Premiership footballers we are not we are not.
Deep breath. Bentley has unleashed its fastest cabrio ever, the 202mph Supersports Convertible. Essentially it's the drop-top version of last year's Conti Supersports, which means it's armed with Bentley's 6.0-litre W12 pumping out a mildly terrifying 621bhp.
The numbers are impressive. The Supersports Convertible will flatten 60mph in 3.9 seconds and reach 100mph in just under 10 seconds. That is significantly rapid. That 202mph top speed is just 2mph slower than the hard-top Supersports. We are not entirely sure what happens to the human body when travelling at 200mph in an open-top car, but we fear it may be messy.
Like the fixed-roof Supersports, the convertible is able to run on E85 biofuel, which means it's slightly-a-bit-green. It benefits from the same diet regime, too, losing its rear seats and gaining lots of lightweight carbon fibre bits.
The Conti's four-wheel drive system has been adapted for a little more driftiness, pushing more torque to the rear wheels. The Supersports also gets a less aggressive ESP set-up, a wider rear track and a quicker-shifting six-speed auto box. All of this stuff is good.
Expect prices to start at around £175,000 when the Supersports Convertible goes on sale later this year. With that sort of price tag, expect the majority of customers to pla- ahaha, you didn't think you could lure us into mentioning the Premiership like tha... damn!

If doing 200mph with the top down messes up your face, it really is a football player's car. They've got nothing to lose.
