Corvette ZR1

Sometimes, we wish we lived in America. Not always, but sometimes. Like when we discover that the Corvette ZR1 will cost $103,300 to those living stateside.

That's about £52,000... for a 620bhp V8 that'll hit 60mph in just 3.4 seconds, 100mph in seven dead and not top out until 203mph.

What do we get for 50 grand over here? A BMW M3? A well-specced Cayman S? OK, they're both good cars... but we want 620bhp. And we want it now.

And don't go thinking that, should a few ZR1s make it to our shores, that they'll actually cost £52,000. Even the measly Z06 - 498bhp? We laugh at 498bhp - costs 62 grand, so you're looking at 70-plus to get your hands on GM's most powerful car ever.

And that's before you've specified the chrome wheels. Which you will.

Let's all move to America. Unless you already live there... in which case can we say on your floor for a while?
