Austrian designer draws up off-road buggy for KTM. It looks awesome

KTM AX off-roader

After the mighty X-Bow, where does KTM go next? Following the Austrian bike manufacturer’s successful first foray into the world of cars, we’re eagerly awaiting their next offering… and we’d be plenty happy if it looked anything like this awesome buggy creation.

This is the AX off-roader, the finest of a handsome host of concepts drawn up by designers at FH Joanneum University in Austria. There’s also a hydrofoil boat, an electric bike, a water-going motocross bike-thing (honest) – all of which stay true to KTM’s orange-and-black, pointily-styled roots – but the buggy is our favourite of the bunch.

Even if it does look a bit like that radio-controlled car that you really wanted to own when you were 11.

It’s more than the work of a misty-eyed designer sat alone in his bedroom, too: the AX was drawn up in conjunction with KTM, so you can be sure they’ve got their eyes on the public reaction to the concept.

We are the public, KTM, and we say Yes. Build it. With an Audi-sourced turbo engine and perhaps some kind of life-ring attachment for our Baywatch-style beach rescue fantasies.

Dear Sir. I write from Spain. I've always been a great fan of the engine, I have had some great buggys and cross the mountains. Would like information on the technical and economic this model
