Get ready for some big numbers. This is the new car from British supercar manufacturer Noble, and it is making some pretty huge claims.
It’s called the M600, and Noble claims it will hit 60mph in three seconds flat, crack 100mph in 6.5 seconds and top out at 225mph.
Based around a steel tub with carbon fibre panels, the M600 will weigh in at 1275kg. All that fastness comes courtesy of a Volvo-sourced 4.4-litre V8, fitted with twin turbos and putting out a massive 650bhp through the rear wheels.
That’s genuine hypercar territory, and the M600 is commanding a genuine hypercar price. It’s expected to cost around £200,000 when it goes on sale in November – way above Noble’s traditional 50-75 grand price point.
Noble says the 70 customers who put down a deposit for the now-defunct M14 and M15 – which was predicted to cost around £75,000 – will be offered a refund.
The M600 won’t be for the faint of heart. Noble says it is targetting the driving experience of an Ferrari F40 or McLaren F1, so the M600 will not be fitted with ESP or anti-lock brakes. Eeep. Good news, maybe, that the driver will be able to toggle the engine through three ECU settings which provide 450, 550 or the full 650bhp.
No flappy-paddle gearboxes here either: the M600 will only be available with a six-speed manual.
Noble will show off the M600 for the first time at the Goodwood Revival in late September, and is expected to start taking deposits shortly after.
Reckon it’ll be worth that 200 grand?

And with this, we have one of our hyper-porn pieces for the next series of the world's best programme. Hopefully. The numbers sound awesome to say the least and if the Noble boys get the handling sorted like they have their previous machines...it could get pretty darn high up that lap time board. Bring it on. :)

Nice to see nothing from a Mondeo :-) I reckon this could be a contender for top 3 on the TG power lap board.

Well considering it will 'crack 10 seconds in 6.5 seconds' I don't think 200 grand's bad for a time machine. Especially one that looks this awesome.

From that angle, it looks just like an R8 with a longer bum! Bet it's a beast of a car... always liked Nobles.
