Porsche 911 Turbo S

As run-out models go, this has to be the ultimate - Porsche's fastest 911 yet, the Turbo S.

The 523bhp all-wheel-drive flagship will make its debut at Geneva and sit at the top of the 911 range for the last two years of 997 production.

It's the first 911 to hook up steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters to Porsche's PDK dual-clutch gearbox, replacing the existing, deeply confusing am-I-changing-up-or-down switches on current models (we hear, incidentally, that Porsche will run out the simpler paddle option across the range in coming months, too).

The Turbo S also features various Porsche chassis enhancements as standard, including launch control, limited slip differential and (capital letters proving this must be Important) Dynamic Engine Mounts, which ‘tense up' during hard driving and stay more flexible when pootling to calm noise and vibration.

Ceramic brakes, 19-inch RS Spyder alloys, adaptive sports seats and leather all make the cut too, but the bit you'll really care about is this: 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds (around a third of a second faster than a normal Turbo) and a top speed of 196mph.

Yours for £123,263 in coupe form or £130,791 as a cabriolet. Using maths, we've worked that out to be nearly 22,000 more pounds than the standard Turbo.

It isn't the first 911 to combine paddles and PDK, it is an option on the standard Turbo
