Dear Top Gear Team, Re the campfire episode,I have had caravan holidays since a small child and even owned a touring caravan for two years!! NEVER in my life have I seen such disregard for personal safety where GAS and FIRE are concerned in your program here. My late wife and I toured Devon and Somerset with a caravan, I even had a flight in a Microlight at an old airfield!!, Not bad for a disabled person!! The presenters should have taken a course on all aspects of caravaning before setting off. So before you/they decry caravan life, Not all of us have top jobs, and can aford fancy holidays around the world!!

This episode made me laugh harder than all the other Top Gear episodes i've seen, due to James' reversing capabilities. I've grown up watching my father using nearly every type of trailer out there and he never once had as much trouble as James

Before Top Gear I would say that I wan't interested in "Car Shows". However this program is truly entertainment and I watch the show all the time. The caravan show has left me in tears. Great job! I'm still laughing.

Re:Ginger47 The show was there to provide entertainment and was not meant to be a serious look at caravanning so there is no need to get on your high horse . I have also been on caravanning holidays ( admittedly not very willingly ), and find them incredibly boring, too rigid in rules, and found this episode funny . So before people take this and other parts of the show too seriously, remember that it is an entertainment show and doesn't even take ITSELF seriously !!!!

Just to say, that both my children and myself have just viewed the campfire episode and having done the camping thing found this so funny, we too have had our disasters camping but for some stupid reason we still go back for more!!! Well done, maybe its the disasters that keep the memories great! Sandy (mum), Jessie and James
