It's still produced in Russia, a little bit restyled and now called Lada Klassica :)

In Russia cars not the best, but trucks the best in the world. Us nobody will win Paris-Dakkar races, even the technical help overtakes racers. And in Topgear only also praise English manufacture and where English trucks? Though time Topgear would show to the world of Kamaz, Maz, Ural are present cars for Russian roads

Dear comrades, i too owned something similiar an Australian Fiat Mirafiori it had a 1.6L was extremeley economical andtook meuo to 198kmh private road,kids.The local rozzas failed it for a loose speaker so taught myself the joys of spot welding with arc rods,Drill spot drill spot it worked.And buying new seatbelt webbing andremanufacturing the origonal seatbelts with sewn on labels.The inspector pulled all the belt out as he thought i had cheated.....my immaculate car passed with new dodgy wire wheel hub caps.The Lada Niva is a splendid girl.......Petersburg
