Gene-ius at work

It’s a dark day for competent motorists everywhere. According to a recent study, ineptitude behind the wheel may, in fact, be genetic.

The results of the study, posted on Live Science’s website, reveal that some of us may possess a bad driving gene, making us prone to automotive dodginess and car accidents.

Perhaps this is how Mother Nature weeds out the genetically inferior in the modern age, one bingle at a time.

Speed skills?

Has the world gone mad? Have we slipped into some sort of parallel universe where down is up, Kyle Sandilands is skinny and Daryl Somers is funny? How else do you explain news reports today in which people are campaigning to increase the speed limit on certain roads?

Basically, a lucky Russian is jogging across the road when a bus slams into a stationary car, sending both careening over the crossing, missing the man by millimetres. And it got us thinking about these death dodgers. You know the type; the Hindenburg pilot who called in sick that day, or the WTC worker who ducked out for coffee...
