Americans shoot up a Porsche
What can you say about Americans that hasn't already been said? Here's another example of their almost unbelievable stupidity that will surely - and hopefully - see the end of their civilization by the turn of this century...
After getting a $20,000 quote to repair his mid-1990s Porsche 911, a US man decided that instead of repairing it, or even on-selling the otherwise-intact car, he'd donate it to his local gun club. Who pumped an estimated 10,000 rounds of ammunition into it. For a charity event. Just because they could. Even kids were allowed to take pot shots at it. What is WRONG with these people?

Hmmm ...insults aside (for now), the poor reporting here from the "don't let the facts get in the way of a good story department" should be addressed. As reported::"After getting a $20,000 quote to repair his mid-1990s Porsche 911" ...No such quote was ever solicited nor supplied. The engine was blown (his girlfriend was driving it ...it was her car), and it was a 2000 Porsche Carrera ...the Model was not 911, though it is a 900 series vehicle. Reported, "instead of repairing it, or even on-selling the otherwise-intact car, he'd donate it to his local gun club" While the repair costs were high, they were still within reason given the overall condition of the vehicle. And the shoot was held at a gun club that was located in a different state than the owner of the vehicle lived. The owner, a member of COMM2A (stands for Commonwealth 2nd Amendment) wished to donate the vehicle as a fundraiser for a novelty shoot. end Part 1

Part 2 cont. The vehicle was never donated to the Gun Club which hosted the COMM2A Benefit. The participants were supporters of COMM2a's legislative and legal defense of Massachusett's citizen's rights as regards the 2nd Amendment of the American Constitution (the US is a Constitutional Republic) ...the right to bear arms. Reported: "pumped an estimated 10,000 rounds of ammunition into it" Perhaps 10, 000 rounds in the first half hour. Far closer to 150k rounds than 10k. Reported: "For a charity event. Just because they could. Even kids were allowed to take pot shots at it" As mentioned, it was a benefit in defense of 2nd Amendment rights in Massachusetts. A subject of the British Empire is currently being helped by the group. He was denied a gun permit in Massachusetts. And, those "kids" taking "pot shots" have been taught to respect firearms and their inherent potential.

Part 3 of 3 Reported: "What can you say about Americans that hasn't already been said? Here's another example of their almost unbelievable stupidity that will surely - and hopefully - see the end of their civilization by the turn of this century.." The toothless, Socialist decline of the British Empire is surely reflected most brightly in the willingness of the Botany Bay prison colony's progeny willingly going quietly into that good night. It's been many years since auto racing tech has significantly resulted in more efficient engines as regards conservation. R&D along those lines is from private and public companies that are specifically looking to economy. So perhaps as you imply with firearms, that all "stupid" auto racing should be banned. Is the burning of all of those fossil fuels and the resultant pollution both of gasses and landfill worth it? The horror. A marginally better seatbelt or our rain forests? You make me laugh.
