Million-dollar fine for SLS speedster
If you make a bit of coin in Switzerland and like to have a bit of a fang, it really, really pays to think twice. A 37-year-old Swedish bloke faces a fine of more than a million dollars after being caught doing 290km/h in his black Mercedes Benz SLS AMG yesterday.
And when we say 'caught'... he blasted through two radar traps that were incapable of reading speeds over 200km/h, before the third one got him.
Fines in Switzerland are calculated using a formula that includes the driver's income and the speed involved. Our friend faces the maximum fine of 300 days' worth of fines at 3600 Swiss francs a day, a total of Sfr 1,080,000 ($1.13 million). His car has also been impounded.
Legend or loser? What do you reckon?
(And seeing how black cars are now the new fast cars, get a load of this lot)

Oh yeah - what a pratt,sounds like another few ks and he would have run the border! if im not mistaken switzerlands laws dont apply once you leave! probably didnt realise the fine structure-or didnt care! Legend..............................

I love the fact that he's probably just gone "o'well another fine and they've taken my car, Better go buy another sls or wait maybe a veyron, it goes faster they mite not catch me in one of those".

IS he the biggest idiot ever!!!??? He is a loser. we all know how the swiss has no tolerance with speeding. serves him right. mayve another countries he'd be a legend, NOT in Switzerland. What an idiot
