VW WRC in action
The first video of Volkswagen's new Polo R WRC rally machine being officially tested has emerged online. Double world champion and chief development bloke Carlos Sainz piloted the car during the 100km test, which is being prepped for its 2013 WRC debut.

The Spaniard was enamored with the feel of the vehicle - and with the fact that it didn't break down when put through its paces.
"I am very glad to be involved in developing and testing the new Polo R WRC and it's a great honour to have the privilege to go through the first 100km," said Sainz.
"The car is still in its infancy, but it already feels great."
VW says it will continue to test the Polo R WRC on gravel, mud and snow during 2012 ahead of entry into the 2013 championship.
Along with the re-installation of the notorious Monte Carlo stage and the addition of MINI to the competition this year, VW's entrance certainly makes the future of WRC an exciting prospect.
