You’ve seen the pictures of the new Ferrari 458. You’ve pored over the specs. You’ve tried to figure out how the hell it’s even possible to get that much power from a naturally aspirated engine.

Now all that’s left to do is hear it out on the road. Take it away, 458:

Gets the hairs on the back of neck standing to attention, doesn’t it?

We love the way that V8 note gets ever more metallic and hard-edged as it barrels towards the 9,000rpm redline. And those upshifts through the double-clutch gearbox sound mighty smooth and quick, don’t they?

So you’ve seen it, read about it and now heard it. All that’s left to do now is, er, start saving…

I know this won't be the most popular statement, but I really liked the 599 styling, but I don't know what I think of this. The triple pipes at the back are completely ridiculous, a big murcielago type pipe would've been more aesthically pleasing. The dash is certainly an improvement over the 599, but the lights look like something from Tron. I like the rear end (minus the exaust), and the twin diffusers look fantastic and I really love the doors and quarter panels.....yes, I think I like it.

Nice car, nice sound. Just a small problem on the styling but, lambo and porsche and any other supercar in the range, or even in a higher range, watch your back for an italian redback, if it makes sense.
