Gemballa unveils the ‘Tornado’

Gemballa says its two newest creations, the Cayenne-based Tornado and Panamera-based ‘Mistrale', are ‘works of automotive art'.

In fact, the German tuner adds that ‘if the highest levels of individuality and exclusivity are requirements for greatness, these offerings qualify'.

While you chew on that for a moment, both models get most of their outer body panels replaced with carbon-fibre equivalents, 22in wheels and Brembo brakes.

See pics of the Gemballa Tornado and Mistrale. it's like art, or something

The Tornado (above) gets 430kW while the Panamera-based Mistrale gets 455kW and 848Nm of torque. If you're ‘really hungry', Gemballa can offer 521kW and 1000Nm for both models, thanks to ruddy big turbos, a sports exhaust, high efficiency intercoolers and bespoke ECU mapping. That's quite an appetite.

Naturally, Gemballa will deck out the interior using many cows and lots of Alcantara, and frankly, we're speechless. Just 30 will be made of each. Discuss.

What was it they said about the i-Hammer Eagle Thrust? "Not likely to win favour amongst those of us blessed with the gift of sight"? I'd like to offer this sentence up again.

i do like the sprucer from Gemballa who said "if the highest level of individuality and exclusivity are requirements for greatness, these offerings qualify." Read: "If you want something that absolutely no-one else wants to drive - because they have even a modicum of style and prefer their dignity intact - then this is the car for you." Must admit though, they have improved the Cayenne (except from the back) and the Panamera, but why start with monstrosities in the first place? The best thing that I could say about the styling is that they look un-bad compared to the originals. And the front of the Panamera is a straight rip-off of a Chevrolet Corvette.
