Is it a bird? Is it an iron?
Pop quiz hotshot: what the hell are you looking at?
An X-ray of a badly broken leg? A sketch of a magnificent heron in flight? Some sort of conceptual iron?
No, no and no. It's the new Infiniti M, Nissan's luxury rival to the BMW 5-Series and Merc E-Class, set to be unveiled at the posh Pebble Beach Concours in a couple of weeks time.
We do occasionally scoff at daft teaser sketches, but there's a lot you can tell from this one. Like, er, the fact that it has some sort of roofline. And a front. And a back.
And that's about it. Infiniti is keeping schtum on any details about the new M, but we'd expect it to share swoopy styling with the rest of the Infiniti range, and feature the 3.7-litre V6 from the Nissan 370Z, perhaps in a more conservative state of tune.
We'll find out for sure at Pebble Beach, but until then, let's play the snappily named ‘Of What Improbably Non-Car Object Does The Infiniti Teaser Remind You?' game. Suggestions please...

the real thing looks a bit like the Nissan Maxima, I've got an FX 35 and love it. Maybe an FX 50 next year...
