Suzuki Kizashi

03 August 2009 - 17:00

Gissa Kiz’

This is the Suzuki Kizashi, the sports sedan from the firm more famous for teeny city cars and lazer-quick motorcycles.

Pronounced 'Kee-Zah-Shee' (bless you), it has a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT gearbox and looks more like a premium German product than a scratchy Japanese cheapo-box. It has independent multi-link rear suspension and four-wheel-drive capability, too.

There are even plans to make it a hybrid - engineers are working on that as we speak. Unless they're on a quick tea break.

There's some bad news, though. The car has been made with the US in mind and Suzuki is being coy about bringing it to Aus. However, it did hint that - if the time was right - we might get it.

Considering the car has already been developed at the Nurburgring and on some cobbled streets around England, we'd be surprised if it didn't make it to our humble little land.

What do you reckon?
