LA show: Lambo Gallardo Spyder

Lambo unwapped the Gallardo Spyder with the LP560-4 treatment. That means more aggressive design front and rear than the old Spyder, lighter weight by 20kg, and 30kW more. The gorgeous V10 now has direct injection and 418 angry kilowatts. It’ll hit 325km/h and take your hair off.
 
Lamborghini didn’t take the Estoque show car to America. Like other makers of super-expensive cars, it has seen sales take a hit. The Gallardo Spyder will probably be the best-selling Lambo model in 2009. The bosses wanted it to get all the attention, rather than have people distracted by a car that they don’t actually sell.

The same logic obtained at Porsche by the way. They used the show to highlight the upgraded Boxster and Cayman. The Panamera is the real interest at Porsche at the mo. But Porsche refused to release photos of the Panamera until next week, so we don’t forget the cars Porsche has got for sale now.
