Millionth Prius sold in the States
After 11 years and three generations, the venerable/boring/staid/revolutionary (choose one) Toyota Prius has marked a momentous milestone in the US by selling its millionth example. No word on whether it was this horrible web-based monstrosity from the USA called a 'Pruck'; get it? Prius and truck? Never mind...
In an even more disturbing development, there are now more than 3 million Priuses worldwide, with 16,000 here in Australia alone. It's under pressure, too, as Lexus's new CT200h hybrid hatch is within a few bucks of its $40k-ish price - expect a price ticket slash soon.
