Just a little Mit’

Next year, Mitsubishi will release an all-new SUV, a Nissan Dualis rival based on Evo underpinnings.

We don't know what it'll be called, but we do know it'll look a bit like this. Apart from more, y'know, metally and less pencilly.

Heavily based on the cX concept unveiled at the Frankfurt show, the new SUV will get Mitsubishi's signature ‘jet fighter' nose and, we're told, a range of eco-friendly petrol and diesel engines: no Evo-derived turbo monster version, we're afraid.

All the indications are that it should be a smart looking thing, though - and with the Dualis and Skoda's new Yeti in Europe doing good business, it could be a tidy little earner for Mitsubishi.

The as-yet-unnamed SUV will be released in Japan next February, and should reach the UK next summer. Unfortunately, there's been no word on an Australian release as yet.
