Mysterious BMW revealed on web

We are, sadly, suckers to our innate curiosity and instinctive anti-authoritarianism. Give us a Big Red Disaster Button with ‘DO NOT PRESS THIS BUTTON', and we'll happily stub it into next week.

So, despite the tagline, what do you reckon this BMW is all about?

A mystery blog, cannily titled ‘dontblogaboutthis.com' has surfaced, containing images of a rather shady looking Beemer and some short, puzzling videos.

All that exists is an intriguing message that reads: "Obviously, this is more than a 6 Series. But the car is not yet in its final stage."

Using Spurious Guessing, we reckon its some form of electric hybrid coupe, and here's why...

Firstly, the headlights - if you look closely - are not dissimilar to the astonishing EfficientDynamics electric hybrid supercar BMW showcased last year.

Next, there are the aerodynamically tuned low-resistance wheels, of a similar style to those fitted on the recent crop of electric cars/prototypes.

Thirdly, there is the video footage, showcasing the car moving along without any engine noise.

The pictures showcase a rather lonely single exhaust pipe sticking out the back, hinting at some kind of internal combustion setup with some kind of electricity involved.

And it's no coincidence the Paris motor show is only a few weeks away...

I'd have to say that the styling harks at the new Mercedes S class concept featured not too long ago. This kind of copying happens everywhere between rivals... not just Holden or Ford.
