New Merc SLK breaks cover
Bless interweb neds. Somewhere, one of them charged with looking after a new Mercedes-Benz promotional video accidentally let it escape into the world of one-time offers and unspeakable acts. It didn't hang around long, but the damage was done - and we now know what the new Mercedes-Benz SLK looks like.
Often derided as a bit of a hairdresser's car, Mercedes has sought to overturn that perception by sexing up the SLK's sporting pretensions. A wider track, shorter wheelbase and adaptable suspension underpins the smallish drop-top that Clarkson once used to try and outrun the British SAS.
Not due for release until 2012, it'll be interesting to see if Merc fast-tracks it in light of this latest leak. In the meantime, check out this footage of SLK mules belting around the most hallowed of playgrounds, the Nurburgring.
