Man caught in two countries by same cop
An ex-pat Pom now living in New Zealand has been caught for speeding twice in his life, and incidentally the same copper has busted him both times. What's weirder? He was caught in two separate countries...
Constable Andy Flitton patrols the beat for the New Zealand Traffic Police on the South Island, and booked a driver for a minor speeding offence. He thought nothing of it until the motorist approached him and asked if he used to work in London.
He had. ""He asked if I had worked in London, I said 'yes'. He asked if I used to operate the laser gun on the A5 in North London, I said 'yes',"the officer told the New Zealand Herald.
Turns out that the motorist had only ever gotten two tickets in his life, and both were issued by Constable Flitton. TopGear officially rates those odds as 3,561,756 to one, or about the same chance Australia has of winning back the Ashes this year.
Got any stories of weird police coincidence?
