Video: Seat racer does the twist

This is no ordinary crash. This is a Big Crash.

Seat Eurocup driver Francisco Carvalho was racing at Brands Hatch over the weekend in a WTCC support race when he was clipped by a fellow racer.

The shunt sent our rather lucky hero heading straight for the metally-shaped crash barriers and what could have been carnage of the gory variety.

However, rather than plough straight into the side, his Seat ramped up the barrier, got some serious hang-time and then vaulted ass-over-engine into the path of some frankly terrified race marshals.

Carvalho later emerged unscathed - save for a few scratches - with a new found love of roll-cages and helmets.
