Tanner Foust's Fiesta Rallycross

521kW Fiesta heads to X Games

Back in May, we reported with mildly delirious excitement that Ford's truly mentalist Fiesta Rallycross was tackling the terrifying Pike's Peak hillclimb.

And now Ford has announced that the mad-hot Fiesta will compete in this year's X Games, in the hands of Tanner Foust - the X Games legend who dumped Jenson Button out of last year's Race of Champions - along with esteemed driving chaps Kenny Brack and Brian Deegan.

2009 will mark the 15th year of the X Games, but the Fiesta will be the first car to compete in the stunt competition. It'll be interesting to see whether the talented Mr Foust can keep 521kW of turbocharged madness under control around the X Games' tight, winding course.

Never heard of the X Games? Well, we can't possibly explain it as succinctly as this video of the awesome Colin McRae back in 2006. Enjoy...
