Half car, half yacht, all rubbish
Anyone been looking for a drop-top living room to transport you the 500 metres from vulgar yacht to vulgar bar? Then unleash a champagney burp of relief, rich types, for the Strand Craft Limousine Beach Cruiser has arrived.
This creation from Strand Craft - Swedish purveyors of supercars and superyachts - has been specifically sculpted to offer its six occupants ‘maximum exposure to the sun'.
The superyachtcar's got a canvas roof that slides off completely, giving UV rays unencumbered access to your skin. Which will be sticking to Alcantara leather while you contemplate jen-you-wine Swarovski crystal inside, instruments by Brietling and a 15-speaker, 1100-Watt Naim sound system.
Behind the giant chrome chin-strap, there's a 298kW, 6.0-litre V8, which deposits power via a Haldex four-wheel-drive system. There's no 0-100 data, but it'll reach an alarming 218km/h/118 knots top speed.
The Swedish company reckon its struck virgin oil with this thing, claiming ‘the Limousine Beach Cruiser opens a new niche in the luxury sector'. And no word on price - it's the usual "if you have to ask, you can't afford it". Blegh...
