Germany's Nurburgring is to motoring what Pipeline is to surfing - the ultimate test of testicles. It’s just over 20 kilometres long, with 73 turns and roller-coaster dips.

Car manufacturers flock to the 'Ring to test the mettle of their metal, which a quick lap time earning the ultimate street cred for new releases.

But it's not easy, and only the best of the best score a place in the top 10. But over the weekend a car has smashed all existing records, and shaved an incredible 11 seconds off the fastest production car lap time ever...

And that's no small feat -  it left Ferrari Enzo's and a gaggle of race-spec Porsche's for dead.
