This car - the Brabus Smart Ultimate 112 - sums up this gallery quite nicely. On one hand, it looks pretty cool, so you could classify it as one of Geneva's hits. But then again, it's a Smart car, which wouldn't even qualify for some real estate on the Cool Wall - not even in Seriously Uncool.

No performance stats have been released yet, but if it's anything like the Veyron Super Sport, it'll hover around 2.5 seconds to 100km/h. That's 0.2 seconds faster than the current Grand Sport. Pricing's equally mysterious, but we reckon it'll be in the region of $3m. Yes, three million dollars. But don't expect to be able to buy one in Australia, unfortunately.

All of the oily bits are lifted from a "normal" 8C. That means there's a 335kW 4.7-litre V8 - built at the Ferrari factory, no less - automated manual ‘box, top speed of 300km/h and 4.2sec 0-100 time hiding under the skin.

Under the skin, it's an 8C Competizione. But on the surface, it's been rebodied with a hand-beaten aluminium husk. Unlike the original, there are some carbon fibre bits and it won't be used for racing.
