Too tight to call

Some weird stuff happened in the night. Sure, those of us who stayed up are feeling a bit, well, trippy at the moment but somehow, despite being comprehensively outpaced by the Peugeots, an Audi is leading the 24-hours of Le Mans.
So how did it happen? By stealth, I reckon.
But looking at the news feed it says Kristensen - a seven time winner remember - took the lead in the wet, damp and horrible conditions at around 5am this morning.
I was up around that time, watching at Arnage and Kristensen didn't look fast, in fact none of the Audis looked fast.
Just goes to show; smooth and unspectacular yields results at this, the greatest of endurance races.
Last night's rain caused a number of spins, collisions and accidents - even the number 1 Audi had an off at the Ford chicane.
We also saw a raft of punctures too, probably caused by carbon fibre detritus on the track leftover from the accidents.
So, the standings at the moment are Audi, Pug, Pug, Audi, Pug, Audi.
The Lola Aston Martin has fought back to 10th after losing around 25 mins at an hour and a half when Jan Charouz spun and clouted the barrier.
In GT1 , the 009 Aston Martin DBR9 leads two Corvettes.
The Astons have a lap on their thundering American rivals, but there's still a concern from the British camp that the 'Vettes can run fewer pitstops at the end of the race.
I've been thinking about what Jamie wrote about the 'black' technology Peugeot. He's right; there's something Area 51 about how the fast Pug looks and goes - but the sound?
To me the 908 sounds less like a craft from Venus, and more like a vacuum cleaner...
