    You'll have seen the Bond story yesterday and been either amazed, shocked or just generally horrified that an Aston Martin DBS ended up at the bottom of Lake Garda.

    The fact that the driver is fine is James Bond heroic, yet it is such a big deal that it's almost too much to comprehend. Aston assured me it really was an accident, but for some reason I'm still a little suspicious...

    I didn't really wake up until Ferrari F1 test driver Marc Gene did some laps in last year's F1 car. Alone on the Fiorano track, which is partly surfaced with Shell minerals, that wonderful car really rammed home the value of an F1 tie-in...

    I read in the papers that Jeremy had unleashed a Sweary Mary moment at a kid who'd taken a picture of him asleep on holiday, without asking.

    Now, as he was on holiday, the BBC said it was a private matter on which it couldn't comment, and as a BBC employee, I come under that directive. So I thought I'd just do a blog here about how the series is going...
