BMW news - BMW aims big with Gran Turismo - 2007
Expect to see a lot more of BMW over the next few
Executives at the BMW Group have today laid out the
company’s strategy for the next few years, in a document we can only assume was
covertly titled ‘Plans for Total World Domination’.
Spearheading the attack will be four new models, including a
four-door coupe based on the CS
concept we saw at this year’s Shanghai motor show.
Expected to be called the Gran Turismo, the big, sleek coupe
will sit on the new 7-Series platform, as will a smaller Rolls-Royce (one of
BMW’s subsidiary marques), which will be positioned below the Phantom in the
Mini isn’t to be left out of BMW’s big plans, either - the

SFC (space-functional concept) study is being dropped in favour of a Progessive
