Video: 230mph ’Vette crash

American company Hinson Motorsports attempted to break its own record for the standing mile in a Corvette last weekend at the Texas Mile.

FYI, that record was 224mph. They tried to go for a 230+mph run when something went horribly wrong. Their modified Corvette - packing a faintly ludicrous 1,738bhp - got airborne into its record-breaking attempt and came to a rest. Violently.

Using whatever luck was left in the universe, the driver managed to walk away unharmed, still unsure how he flipped dramatically. Watch the video below and then ask yourselves… how?
