May's musical journey
Got half an hour to kill? If you weren’t up in time to catch James May’s Radio 4 show Music To Drive To yesterday morning, you can listen again online.
He explores the idea that your car is a giant hifi – your own private Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s jazz bar or Wembley Arena – and looks at how music in cars has changed people’s lives.
It’s heartwarming stuff – a little like John Peel’s Home Truths but with, well, music and cars. Sort of. Anyway, it’s on the BBC’s iPlayer and you can get to it via the Radio 4 website.
