Top Gear’s top five GT cars

  1. Ferrari FF

    £227,107, 660bhp, 503lb ft, 0-62mph 3.7secs, 208mph vmax, 18.3mpg, 360g/km

A four-seat, four-wheel-drive V12 Ferrari that copes with everything ‘normal’ Ferrari product can’t. And it chomps mileage like a train, as long as you have the fuel budget.

  2. Bentley Continental GT

    £123,850, 500bhp, 487lb ft, 0-62mph 4.6secs, 188mph vmas, 26.7mpg, 246g/km CO2

The most comfortable GT in the world. The 4.0-litre manages more mpg and barely loses in terms of speed versus the W12. It’s a class act.

  3. Aston Martin DB9

    £131,995, 517bhp, 457lb ft, 0-62mph 4.6secs, 183mph max, 19.8mpg, 333g/km CO2

Still one of the best looking cars on the road, and still one of the most romantic for trans-anything journeys. Expensive journey.

  4. Maserati Granturismo

    £82,220, 405bhp, 339lb ft, 0-62mph 5.2secs, 177mph max, 19.8mpg, 330g/km CO2

Softer than it might appear on paper, the Maser GT makes for fine long-distance company - and there’s room in the back for kids, too.

  5. BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe

    £59,550, 320bhp, 331lb ft, 0-62mph 5.4secs, 155mph max, 36.7mpg, 179g/km CO2

Basically a swoopy coupe-ish BMW 5-Series, the 6GC manages to be better-looking than anything else BMW makes. Comfy and dynamic all at once…
