Once seen as purveyor of turgid transport for the elderly, Honda is now a highly complex brand with more personalities than Rory Bremner. It veers from safe supermini to absolutely mental roadster, while continuing to delight loyal old fogies with the best build quality in the world, bar none.
-
Accord
£16,362 - £27,160
Awkward moment, as Honda loses patience with us for failing to place it in the same category as BMW, and hikes the price on what is a worthy, but still dull, saloon car.
-
Accord Tourer
A car so sensible that, were it to assume human form, would be called Nigel and work as a risk analyst in Kettering. Which is no reason not to buy one.
-
Civic
£12,442 - £19,752
Hilariously space-age design brief seems calculated to send old folk running for the Toyota brochure. Your gran may not like it, but you'll think it rocks. You'll be right.
-
Civic Hybrid
Think of it as a Prius for people who don't enjoy being punched in the back of the head by strangers. Doesn’t mean you're any less worthy of back-of-the-head punching, mind.
-
Civic Type R
Honda's archetypal Mr Hyde bursts forth from its mild-mannered Dr Jekyll, resulting in a supreme hot hatch packing a ride so hard you could cut diamonds with it.
-
CR-V
£17,972 - £25,902
Probably the first SUV to come out of the closet and admit that it's never going off road. Once that nonsense is out of the way, you're left with a decent 4wd family car.
-
FR-V
£15,312 - £19,022
Oddball MPV with three-across-the-front seating capability. Downside is that it's wider than Del Boy and makes the driver feel like he's sitting in the corner, sulking.
-
Jazz
£8,302 - £12,602
Brilliantly packaged supermini makes a mockery of better-looking rivals and is officially the Most Sensible Choice. Leave your desire at home.
-
Legend
£35,502 - £39,252
Exceptional big saloon packed with technology and luxury in equal measure. Ludicrous price tag kills it stone dead, but if you find one secondhand, buy it.
-
S2000
£26,452 - £27,002
Magnificently overblown roadster with riotous VTEC engine and superb gearbox that absolutely demands to have the nuts thrashed off it. Blissfully irresponsible.

Now this isn't the fastest Viper out there in terms of sheer speed in 2008, ...
I've been driving the new 7-series lately. Now if you read up on the tech ...
