Are you the Stig?

The launch of the new Jag XKR made a few headlines. The Hamster's little shunt got a fair bit of press coverage.

But this is the biggest news of the year. Ready?

The coveted and much-imitated 'I Am The Stig' t-shirt is now on official release.

That's right. As part of the launch of Top Gear's official merchandise site, the exclusive Stig t-shirt is finally available for you to get your grubby mitts on.

You emailed us. You pleaded, you threatened, you offered us nights of unabated passion with your nearest and dearest. But we held out. We were scared of what the Stig might do. Some say he can crush a badger between his thumb and forefinger, you know.

But now we've relented. We expect all those hastily-made promises to be delivered, as there's a choice of five Stig t-shirts. Is this because our tame racing driver actually has five torsos? We couldn't possibly say.

The new range also includes official Top Gear keyrings, a Stig board game and a golf umbrella. But if we actually see you with it on a golf course, we'll set Hammond on you. He's not as friendly as he looks.

The only place to buy the official Top Gear product range is through www.officialproducts.co.uk

You'd better get there quickly though. We've heard that Stig's out to get his t-shirts back. Be afraid.
