How would you like to drive the BMW M3 around the Nürburgring F1 circuit? Because BMW is letting you do it free of charge! Free! Only, it's on a computer screen. Sorry.
Nonetheless, BMW has dropped a sizeable wedge of cash on proving just how good the M3 is with this official driving game - yours to download from its website.
It's a monster of a file - 345 megabytes, to be precise - and apparently it won't work on a Mac, but broadbanded PC users can experience the joy of thrashing the 414bhp M3 around the track. Without the smell of burning rubber, obviously, but you could always set fire to a pair of plimsolls.
BMW recommends using a PC driving wheel for the full experience. Make sure you've got your speakers turned up, too, because that V8 engine note is pretty damn close to the real thing.
We've had a quick shot on the game but, sadly, the computers in Fortress Top Gear were purloined from an abandoned gulag in the last days of the Soviet Union, so we don't think we've experienced the full graphical wonderment of it all. And we kept crashing.
Nonetheless, if you've got a decent graphics card, a fast internet connection and a job you don't mind getting fired from, have a download and see what you think.
