Meriva edge

Following last week's shadowy, coquettish teaser shot, Vauxhall has released a bunch more pictures of its Geneva-bound Meriva concept.

Yes, it's that GM concept with the actually-not-all-that-revolutionary suicide rear doorsÂ… and it seems the rest of the design is equally not-all-that-revolutionary.

Vauxhall is getting very excited about the 'dynamic wave' in the window line just behind the B-pillars. Very nice it is too, but haven't we already seen something rather similar on the Citroen C4 Picasso?

We do like the windscreen, which Vauxhall describes as 'a U-shaped panorama' and we describe as 'quite big', while that deep side strake looks like a toned-down version of the 'blades' on the Vauxhall GTC concept we saw at Geneva last year.

All in all, though, it's a cute-but-conservative little monobox from Vauxhall. Does that mean it's nearing production-readiness... or just proof that you can't make mini-MPVs interesting? We'll do our best to find out in Geneva next week.
