Bow. Selected

Europe's newest sports car manufacturer KTM is gearing up for an assault on the newly formed FIA European GT4 Cup.

KTM will race the X-Bow - a kind of Darth Vader's helmet-on-wheels - this year with Reiter Engineering providing the technical support.

Reiter has spent the past few years campaigning Lamborghinis in the FIA GT Championship, so it knows a thing or two about racing bonkers sports cars.

The two Reiter KTM X-Bows will face some strong competition from a Ford Mustang FR500GT, Lotus Sport Exige, Aston Vantage N24, BMW Z4, Maserati Trofeo, Porsche Cayman, Nissan 350Z and an Audi TT.

The FIA GT4 European Cup sits just below the GT3 category in sports GT racing. The cars are so similar to road spec that with a tax disc and proper tyres, they could drive to each event.

We'll keep you posted throughout the year on news from this exciting championship.
