Ferrari has ordered Dan Cawley of Cheadle, Manchester, to remove every prancing horse badge from his 166mph Ferrarisine in the next 14 days, or else... well, we don't exactly know what, but we've got horrible visions of that horse's head scene from the Godfather.

Ferrari argues that the Mr Cawley's modifications means that the car is no longer a Ferrari. Mr Cawley isn't happy. "What kind of precedent does it set when you can't do what you like with your own property?" he says.

TG finds itself in a moral quandary. On the one hand, the Ferrarisine is obviously a Bad and Wrong Thing. On the other, we can't help thinking Ferrari's legal team is being a bit, well, touchy.

Maybe they'd feel differently if Mr Cawley offered them a nice ride around Cheadle town centre with all the Asti Spumante they can quaff.
