Following months of speculation, Toro Rosso F1 owners Dietrich Mateschitz and Gerhard Berger have confirmed their team is on the market.

Mateschitz - boss of the Red Bull drinks empire - will not sell this year, but is looking to offload the team in 2009. The significance? Rule changes from 2010 mean that Toro Rosso will have to build their own chassis. Currently, Red Bull design and build the Toro Rosso cars in Milton Keynes.

Toro Rosso has been competing in F1 since 2006 after former F1 racer Berger and Mateschitz bought the Minardi team.
