Three-piece suit

Why have just one concept previewing your next production car when you could have... three?

This is the Kizashi 3, a concept aiming to get us all excited about Suzuki's new flagship sedan, set to arrive in 2010.

Why 3? Because we've already seen Kizashi 1 and 2, revealed in Frankfurt and Tokyo last year respectively.

As the numbers stack up, the Kizashi seems to be slowly honing in on production readiness - the evil, beaky front end has morphed into a fractionally more subtle nose. But it's still far stronger than anything we've seen from Suzuki before.

Measuring 465cm from nose to tail, the Kizashi is shorter than a BMW 5-Series but significantly longer than a 3-Series. A genuine five-seater, it features a 3.6-litre V6 powering all four wheels.

Suzuki says that the Kizashi's styling reflects a 'dynamic athlete in motion', and demonstrates a 'strong, honed physique', while the press spiel is littered with references to 'physical strength from intense, daily training' and the like.

Expect Kizashi 4 (because with a whole two years until we see the production car, there's time for plenty more concepts, surely) to come with protein shake holder and built-in sweatbands. Mmm.
