Cor' blimey

The Vauxhall VXR8 isn't the latest word in sophistication, which makes it ideal for the more powerful engine it's rumoured to be getting.

The new lump will come straight from the Corvette ZO6 - again, not the last word in refinement - and we're talking some serious figures here.

How does 7.0 litres grab you? Probably quite roughly, in all honestly, especially if it puts out the unconfirmed 570bhp and 472lb ft.

Vauxhall is keeping very tight-lipped at the moment, but we understand that it is being looked at and might even appear this year.

Just in time for winter, with all the associated ice and rain that 570bhp and rear-wheel drive are so ideal for coping with.
