Richard Hammond's Lonely Hearts Club Band

It's official. Hammond is a pop icon.

Well, sort of. Richard has been immortalized alongside, erm, the Statue of Liberty and a panda bear on the cover of the new Def Leppard album.

He's there, honest. Down in the bottom right hand corner above the crash test dummy.

The 'Songs from the Sparkle Lounge' cover is a send-up of the obscure 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album by little-known Scouse band 'The Beatles', and includes a handful of sort-of-famous people alongside photos of the band members and their family.

All of which begs a rather big question: is Hammond now bigger than Jesus?
