The Volkswagen Jetta will go on sale on February 3 with a starting price of £14,635.

Replacing the Bora, the Jetta uses the latest Golf's chassis and engines, starting with the 1.6-litre FSi petrol unit.

On top of the 1.6 FSI, there's also a 2.0 FSI engine with 148bhp, and a 197bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol.

A pair of diesel engines is offered with a 103bhp 1.9-litre and a 2.0-litre packing 138bhp. Both are available with VW DSG sequential manual gearbox.

All Jetta models will come with alloy wheels, climate control and four electric windows.

From the £14,635 starting price, the Jetta range goes all the way to £19,240 for the 2.0 TDi 138bhp turbodiesel with DSG 'box.
