If you fancy a John Cooper Works-tuned Mini Cooper S but don't want all that gear-changing business, there's now a tuning kit for automatic gearbox-equipped models.
Power is pushed to 203bhp with the Works kit, realising 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds, thanks to a 33bhp increase over the standard car's 170bhp. The six-speed auto 'box remains unchanged.
The kit costs £2,999, plus fitting charges, at your local Mini dealer.
If that all sounds a bit pricey, how about a Mini cuckoo clock? For £49.95 you too can be reminded of the time every hour with the clock's 'vroom, vroom, beep, beep' chime...
