Astravan hits the streets

Coming to a plumbing job near you soon, Vauxhall has unveiled its new Astravan.

Designed and built in the UK, the car makes its entrance today (April 25) at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham before hitting the streets in September.

The rear cargo area is longer, wider and taller than before, and the car can also carry more weight.

Engines consist of Vauxhall's 1.3-, 1.7- and 1.9-litre turbodiesel units, while a 1.4-litre upholds petrol honour.

No prices yet, but Vauxhall dealers are unlikely to be taking sharp intakes of breath and promising a quote by a week next Tuesday.
