German supercar hits 248mph

Mid-mounted Mercedes V12 with ridiculous power output mixed with crazy styling. Must be another Pagani Zonda, right?

Wrong. Meet the Lotec Sirius, which takes the same basic recipe as the Zonda, but is stirred with a German spoon.

The 6.0-litre Merc V12 has been breathed on to produce up to 885bhp, depending on the boost of its twin turbochargers.

With maximum boost surging through its motor, the Sirius will crack 248mph and 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, although 0-125mph in 7.8 seconds is even more impressive.

The Lotec Sirius has a history stretching back to 2001, when it was first shown as a concept. However, it's now on sale for a price somewhere north of £300,000 depending on specification.
