The words 'estate car' and 'sexy' rarely collide, but when you throw into the mix the name 'Alfa Romeo', it all makes sense.
There's no doubting the fine lines of the new 159 Sportwagon, and the new Alfa estate is now on sale to lustful British buyers needing a little extra carrying capacity.
Prices for the Sportwagon begin at £21,095 for the 160bhp 1.9-litre JTS Turismo model, and go all the way to £29,350 for the four-wheel-drive range-topper.
Other petrol engines include the 185bhp 2.2-litre motor and brawny 3.2 V6 unit with 260bhp used in the four-wheel-drive Q4 version.
Diesels are taken care of with the fine 150bhp 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine and the five-cylinder 2.4 with 200bhp.
All of the engines come with a six-speed manual gearbox, while a six-speed auto will arrive for the 1.9 turbodiesel later in the year.
