As we expected, it's not half as much of a surprise as its predecessor - it's longer and wider than the original but still unmistakably TT.

Compared with Tokyo's Shooting Brake concept, Audi has toned down the Hannibal Lector-style grille and, obviously, ditched the stubby-tailed hatch in favour of a coupe roofline.

The booted version may well make it into future production, though, and we'll definitely see a cabrio before long.
