Its Golf platform means that the Volkswagen Tiguan is a size-and-a-half smaller than its bigger brother, the Touareg, but it still packs plenty of interior space. In fact, because of its lower ride height and deeper body, it sits rear occupants more upright, giving more useable legroom than the Touareg.
This Tiguan concept is almost production ready - we'll see the Tiguan on our streets within two years. Its size puts it somewhere between a Honda CRV and a BMW X3 - very much the heart of the battleground in Europe for family soft-roaders. Expect the usual array of clean diesel and efficient petrol engines.
